This is the new vintage of this incredible wine from bodegas Frontonio in Valdejalon, Spain. Last vintage was very popular, and this 2022 is even more exciting. Fantastic wine that explodes with intense notes of kiwi and canteloupe, which then give way to a subtle minerality, and wonderfully elegant character. With a few minutes in the glass, this wine reveals superb balance and outstanding quality for the price. Delicious stuff!
In case you didn’t catch it last week, this wine is SUPER RARE and incredibly unique. Ijalba is one of only two producers in the entire world currently making Maturana Blanca, and it is just worth trying if you are looking for something new and intriguing. Great minerals, delicate notes of white flowers, and soft stone fruits all blend so beautifully. Just a superb wine. Get it while it lasts!
