This fascinating white wine is the sister wine to the Pecorino we featured last week, and is equally as delectable. The wine boasts an incredible nose full of green pineapple, lemon verbena, fresh grass, and apricot flesh. On the palate the wine is round, textured and balanced, and with 20 minutes in the glass, the wine starts to unwind, revealing wonderful layers of complexity. Gorgeous wine!

Tenuta de Sterlich is a project started in 2017 by two friends who purchased 19 hectares of vineyards on a hillside in Abruzzo, Italy. With the help of a famous local wine consultant, they grow mostly local varietals, including this wonderful Trebbiano. They grow everything organically and biodynamically, and are on their way to getting their certification. This is definitely an estate that we will keep an eye on.
